After the death of her mother, Immaculate’s father abandoned his children. Immaculate and her three brothers survived on their own for over five years.
When six-year-old Immaculate joined Children of Uganda’s program in 2010, she was overwhelmed by all the changes; naturally, she was very resistant and missed her brothers terribly.
Two years later, Immaculate is one of the happiest children we have at Sabina Primary School. She smiles every day and has made many new friends. See the before and after photo above.
Our staff in Uganda shared that Immaculate is guiding our newest primary recruits: reminding them when and where to eat, pray and participate in school activities. She has blossomed as a member of our Music, Dance and Drama troupe and loves teaching new songs and dances to her classmates.
While Immaculate is unable to read or write the alphabet, we’ve been told how excited she gets when asked to write a letter. She loves drawing pictures and shading. When asked what she likes about school, she says the food she eats and the many friends around her.
Immaculate is a shining example of how sponsorship can transform a young life. Your contributions provide food, shelter, medical care, clothing, and a good education for a child like Immaculate. You plant the seeds of recovery in a land troubled by war, poverty, and HIV / AIDS. To learn more about becoming a sponsor, click here.
We help you give a hand UP to Ugandan children and women in need + share the joy.
Each child who is educated, fed and safe is a strong foundation for peace.
Each self-supporting woman makes a community thrive. Each beat of music carries the joy of a nation.
