Can you hear it? Africa’s drumming heartbeat, the pounding of bare feet and youthful voices resounding together. For those of you who have experienced our Tour of Light – can you hear it now? We’re coming back!
Our 2014 Tour of Light music and dance troupe will arrive in the U.S. on January 9th in the Washington, D.C. area. These incredible children will travel across the country performing East African culture dances, sharing a message of hope and advocating for the 8 million vulnerable children living in Uganda today.
“I was so happy about the tour and have seen many changes in me since coming home. I tell all my friends and family stories of the things I saw while in America. The tour has changed my life. I feel I am more confident of myself now. Thanks, Children of Uganda, for everything you do. I love you.
— Winnie Kembabazi
“The experience of being with Children of Uganda and the Tour has changed my life. Not only have I been able to get a good education, but I’ve been able to improve my talent and share my culture with other people. Even though they have a different skin color, we are really the same. We are able to share ideas and share our hearts with each other.”
— Jude Male
“I’m most looking forward to meeting my sponsor and how amazing it is that someone who never met me loves and cares about me so much. I’m amazed that there are so many people who care so much who have never met us. I can’t wait to meet the one who cares so much for me.”
— George William Mulindwa
