An education will open worlds Viola’s family has never known.
Viola is a sweet and caring little girl born in 2004 who lives with her grandmother on their small farm in the Mukono District in Uganda. Her grandmother is a hard working woman. Viola helps her care for their cows and other tasks around the farm. She came to live with her grandmother when she was one year old, since her father became ill due to HIV.
Viola’s grandmother is very proud that her granddaughter has the opportunity to go to school and continues to encourage Viola to work as hard as she can. She says that she believes that it is only though education that her family will be able to overcome the struggles that they have faced.
Viola was enrolled in Children of Uganda’s Sponsorship program in 2014 and successfully started her primary education. Now Viola, who is still in Primary 2, needs a sponsor so that she can continue to excel and gain the education that will serve her her whole life. Right now, one of the best parts of school for Viola is the opportunity to make new friends and draw pictures. In future, it will open worlds her family have never known.
We help you give a hand UP to Ugandan children and women in need + share the joy.
