My Story

Ephraim's History

Ephraim’s father sadly died in June of 2018 due to complications from diabetes and high blood pressure. The responsibility of raising the children fell solely to his mother, Annet, who struggles to provide for the family. Isaac's oldest sibling was forced to drop-out of school after S.4 (equivalent of 10th grade in the U.S.) due to non-payment of school fees. Annet is grateful to Children of Uganda for supporting Ephraim's education so that he does not have to follow in the same footsteps.

Ephraim's brother, Isaac Mugabi, is also a Children of Uganda student and one of our brightest boys.

Annet was also selected to participate in Children of Uganda's FASTrack (Family Accountability and Sustainability) program. She operates a vegetable and fruit stand and her most profitable item is yellow bananas - which she says sell out daily!
