Emerson's History
Emerson lives with his aunt, Scovia Nakato, who took responsibility of him after he was abandoned by his mother. Scovia is a single-mother herself whose husband abandoned the family many years back. She is overwhelmed caring for 7 school-going children and desperately needs support. The family was economically empowered by Children of Uganda to start-up a poultry keeping project and it is doing well. The project income helps with the family's welfare, but it has not yet reached the level of sustaining such a big family.
