Dignity Kits For Young Kings & Queens

Recently a Children of Uganda (COU) team member shared that dozens of our kids were in dire need of undergarments. In particular, one girl named Joan was down to just one tattered pair of underwear. She would wash and hang her knickers up to dry in the evening, but they would still be damp the next morning.

An additional $900 was raised for sanitary napkins, deodorant and shavers – giving us the ability to deliver hundreds of dignity kits to students in need.

All of these items are vital for a young person’s hygiene, comfort and self-esteem.

One student named Ronah shared: “I once requested my mother to buy for me a deodorant, but she reminded me of how she never used such things and therefore I too can survive without it. I am so happy that this is going to be my first time to use it! Thanks to COU”.

To all of our friends who donated to the Knickers For Kids campaign, thank you for putting smiles on so many precious faces!
