-Henry Jjemba
Henry was born in 1991 and lived in abject poverty with his mother for nearly nine years before finding hope through Children of Uganda, as he shares:
“After a long struggle for survival, which made life for me and my mother a disaster, God blessed us with a spring of water, which quenched our thirst and rescued us from all the problems we had. The spring is none other than Children of Uganda, which I joined in the year 2000 and ever since that time life was made a smooth way.”
Henry was sponsored all the way from primary school to university where he earned a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Makerere University. After graduation, Henry also interned with us and provided tremendous field and office support. He credits Children of Uganda for laying down the foundation that he is now building his success upon.
And, join us on November 13th as we celebrate the lives of Ugandans like Henry who have found hope through Children of Uganda.
