Extreme weather events have been plaguing East Africa in recent weeks. And in fact, six Children of Uganda families experienced the devastating affects of a rare hailstorm in Kyotera district. The greatest impact was on crops, which were severely hit and destroyed in some cases.
You can help Children of Uganda respond in times of unexpected crisis by becoming a monthly Inside The Light member or making a gift right now:
Children of Uganda’s beloved, Sarah Nanyonga, was also impacted by the hailstorm. One side of her home sustained damage, which was causing leaks. Luckily, we were able to step in right away to have the wall repaired.
We also supplied Sarah and her family with fresh fruit, silver fish, eggs, rice, maize flour, sugar, supplements and more.
Again, becoming an Inside the Light member is the very best way to help families in times of trouble, but we appreciate any and all support you can give especially this holiday for those without. Thank you and may you be blessed.
