We are so very grateful to all of our child sponsors, 100 Women Club members, Leadership Circle donors, volunteers and everyone who gives their time, talents and resources to help empower women, educate youth and strengthen families in Uganda.
And now, some of our students and child guardians want to thank you directly for the positive impact you’ve made on their livelihood and to wish you a Happy New Year:
2020 will mark COU’s 25th year of service – our silver anniversary – and we never could have reached this milestone without the support of friends like you. Together, we create an unstoppable force for good. This year, we are operating on a new Strategic Plan with a stronger emphasis on Family Empowerment via women-led income-generating activities (IGAs) and village savings & loan associations (VSLAs).
Shifting our focus to educating and empowering more women (who each have a sponsored student in our program) will give entire families the opportunity to rise out of poverty and create lasting change in their communities. The investments made by The 100 Women Club have shown us the path to true and lasting transformation and we hope you will join us in the fight for social and economic justice.
For now, we leave you with a heartfelt message from Children of Uganda’s Program Director, Ritah Namakula, who wishes to extend her gratitude on behalf of our entire team:
We will not sell, share or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.
