Six years ago – The 100 Women Club was launched. And, in that first year alone, we not only met our fundraising goal – we far surpassed it. Thanks to friends like you, this vital program has steadily grown and steadily uplifted women in our program.
Will you help us maximize this amazing opportunity by pledging your $100 annual 100 Women Club membership today? Together, we can raise $24,000 for our Family Empowerment Program and other community-based initiatives that support deserving women and their children living in poverty.
Women like Agnes – a force of nature who has shown us that anything is possible with hard work and loving investments. This single mother and farmer, who works tirelessly to support her daughter, Kisakye Kayesu (sponsored by Children of Uganda) and 9 other dependents, is making her business dreams a reality.
Thanks to you, mothers like Agnes (pictured above) can provide for their children. |
Agnes shared with our team in Uganda, that upon joining us she had a big vision for her future. In addition to being a modern farmer, she also set her sights on selling charcoal (a very lucrative business) and brick-making. Our team immediately witnessed the passion and drive she possessed and they strongly believed she would invest her profits in her other children so that they too could attend school.
With support from investors like you and her FASTrack partners, Rita and Ray Roitman, Agnes is closer to reaching her goal of buying more land to expand her farming business. In addition to growing food crops, Agnes also sells charcoal, rears goats and does bricklaying. She used to earn $85 a month from her businesses, but today she is bringing in $198 – that’s over double!
If you want to help empower women, now is the best time to make your $100 annual 100 Women Club membership. Thanks to the match, your impact in Uganda will also go twice as far.
Our vision for The 100 Women Club was to create a network of dedicated and compassionate women who are connected to one another through Children of Uganda. Building strong communities is one of our core values and each year we have witnessed the resilience of women like Agnes taking small investments and turning them into thriving businesses that have employed others in their community.
It’s been proven over and over that investments made in women living in developing nations around the world result in dramatically positive results. Micro-finance loans are re-paid at a rate of nearly 100%, while investments in men living in the same locations have a far lower re-payment. Women like Agnes and others like her prove this success beautifully.

What has truly astonished us is how incredibly enterprising these women are. For example, Agnes is using the very bricks she forms by hand to construct an additional stall. Once completed, she will be able to rent it out which will in turn diversity her income, better provide food security to her family and increase her overall independence.
Thank you – truly – for considering a donation of $100 or more today.
